Impact Innovations Reduces Overtime and Improves Customer Service with Preactor
Problem
The company observed in the new plant that to make their customer commitments, significant overtime was required. Another factor that complicated the schedule was material supply. Some of the paper comes from outside the United States where 90 day lead time is typical. Any delay in shipment or customs needs to be accounted for quickly in order to advise the customer to impacts on the ship date of their order. Scheduling managed within Excel and was unsatisfactory.
